Enerkey Integration

The Skenarios service can automatically retrieve building energy consumption data from Enerkey. Meter readings are fetched on the first day of each month, so the full previous month is imported in one run.

Enerkey is the source of consumption data

Enerkey is a widely used service in the real estate sector. It collects smart meter consumption readings at facility (Laitos) level, typically per building.

API key

To import consumption data into Skenarios, the municipality or property owner must provide an Enerkey API key to Skenariolabs.

Matching to Skenarios

An Enerkey facility is matched to Skenarios in two ways:

1. Group (site) – EnegiaID attribute
2. Building – Permanent Building Identifier (PRT / national building ID)

If the same Enerkey facility can be matched both by a group EnegiaID and by a building permanent building identifier, consumption data is stored on the group. The same reading is never stored on both the group and the building.

Matching buildings by permanent building identifier

When there is no matching group EnegiaID (or the facility does not belong to such a group), matching uses the Permanent Building Identifier field. The same customer-specific identifier must be set on the Enerkey facility and on the Skenarios building. When the identifiers match, consumption data is updated automatically on the building.

Matching groups by EnegiaID

A group is matched to an Enerkey facility using the EnegiaID identifier. During onboarding, Skenariolabs assigns EnegiaIDs to the organisation’s groups based on names and adds them to the group data. Because automatic matching can contain errors, users should verify that the EnegiaIDs are correct.

If a group has an EnegiaID, it is used instead of building-level PRT matching for that facility’s readings.

Maintenance and changes

A group can have only one EnegiaID at a time. If the EnegiaID changes in Enerkey, it must also be updated in the Skenarios group data.
